Five Augustinians celebrate their jubilee

This year - 2008 - the Augustinian Province of Malta will be celebrating five jubilees in all. Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro OSA celebrated his 50th ordination anniversary, together with Fr. Salv Magro OSA (who was ordained 40 years ago) on Friday 28th March 2008, at 7pm by means of a thanksgiving mass, taking place at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (Paceville). Fr. Noah Schiavone OSA is going to commemorate his 50th year since he got ordained on Saturday 5th April, in the 7.15pm mass at St. Augustine' Parish Church (Valletta). On the other hand, Fr. Henry Schembri OSA is going to celebrate his 50th ordination anniversary by means of a mass on 11th April at 7pm at St. Rita's Chapel (St. Julians) while Fr. Rikkardu Attard OSA will be celebrating his on 13th April 2008 at 6pm at St. George's parish church (Qormi). Fr. Zaren Saliba OSA, who is commemorating 25 years, since he got ordained, is going to celebrate his anniversary later during the year.

The Augustinian Province of Malta thanks God for the vocation, He instilled in them and while it thanks these friars for their ongoing work in this same Province, it continues to encourage them to be prophetic witnesses to the world.
