Fr. Gorg Debono OSA departs from this land

Fr. Gorg Debono OSA, who the past years, was forming part of the community at Dar tal-Kleru (Home for the Clergy) in Birkirkara (Malta), departed from this land on July 3, 2008. Born on January 29, 1929, in Hal Qormi, Fr. Gorg joined the Augustinian Province of Malta and got simple professed on January 20, 1946. On February 5, 1950, he was solemnly professed and got ordained on March 21, 1953. For 35 years, he worked for the Augustinian Order and formed part of the communities at Rabat and Paceville, as well as in Tunisia and in Brasil. In 1988, he had to be taken to Dar tal-Kleru due to health problems.

The funeral will be taking place on Saturday July 5 at 9.30am at St. Augustine's Parish Church in Valletta. While being very grateful for all the work, he has accomplished, the Augustinian Province of Malta sends her condolences to his family and promises to keep praying for him.
