Five New Novices

On the evening of 29th October 2008, five Augustinian novices put on their white habits for the first time.  Br. Roberto (25, from Spain, who belongs to the Spanish Province), Br. Tiago (22, from Portugal, who belongs to the Spanish Province), Br. Nelson (28, from Bolivia, who belongs to the Castillian Province), Br. Jozef (31, from Slovenia, who belongs to the Bohemian Province) and Br. David Cortis OSA (28, who belongs to the Maltese Province) are spending their novitiate year, till September 2009, at the Escorial Monastery in Spain. Under the direction of Fr. José Louis del Castillo Campos OSA and with the help of various Augustinian lecturers, they will be forming themselves and learning about the charism, spirituality, cultural, historical and artistic heritage of the Augustinian Order and of St. Augustine, our spiritual father.

The Maltese Augustinian province congratulates Br. David and all the other novices for this important step and wishes them success in their novitiate year.
