Instituted as acolyte minister

Br. Deo Debono OSA, the student most advanced in formation, on Saturday 6th December 2008 was instituted with the ministry of acolyte. The celebration which took place during the 6pm mass at St. Mark’s Church, Rabat, was led by Rev. Provincial Fr. Lucjan Borg OSA, who after the homily, presented Br. Deo with the ciborium, holding hosts not yet consecrated and prayed that Deo would continue to be of service at the table of the Lord and of the Church.

Br. Deo has just finished a five year course on philosophy and theology at the University of Malta and graduated on 2nd December 2008. Meanwhile, the Augustinian Province of Malta chose him to further his studies in MA Pastoral Theology, while he continues to give a helping hand in various institutions in the same Province, as in St. Augustine’s College and the vocational meetings.
