Fr. Henry Schembri OSA dies

The death of Fr. Henry Schembri OSA, a member of the community at St. Julians, has been announced today, on Thursday, 19th February 2009. Fr. Henry, who died at the age of 74, has been carrying his duties in the same priory for over 14 years and in fact, some months ago, on 14th April 2008, he celebrated his 50th ordination anniversary, surrounded by his family, relatives and Augustinian borthers, at the chapel of this same priory. Without doubt, Fr. Henry Schembri will be remembered for the number of years he served as headmaster of the state schools and his dedication for educating children and youths. His funeral will take place on Saturday 21st February at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Paceville at 9.30am.
